What is Order Registration?

Order registration is the first formal step in the refinery project process. It means:

What is a Gold Refinery?

A gold refinery is an industrial facility that purifies impure gold into high-purity bars by removing other metals (silver, copper, palladium, platinum, etc.) through chemical, electrolytic, or chlorination processes.

The final product is a gold bar (ingot) with up to 999.9 purity, recognized globally.
Only refineries with high-standard equipment can meet LBMA accreditation requirements.

Three Models of Gold Refinery

1. Small Refinery (10–20 kg/day) – Aqua Regia Method

Definition: The Aqua Regia process (Latin for “Royal Water”) uses a mixture of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid to dissolve gold. Impurities are filtered out, and gold is precipitated as pure powder.
Purity Achieved: up to 999.5
Advantages: Low investment, fast setup, suitable for workshops and small investors.
Limitations: Limited capacity, not sufficient for LBMA 999.9 accreditation.

2. Medium Refinery (50–100 kg/day) – Miller + Aqua Regia

Definition: The Miller Process injects chlorine gas into molten gold, separating impurities (forming chlorides that float as slag). The output is then refined further with Aqua Regia.
Purity Achieved: 999.5 (upgradeable with electrolytic finishing).
Advantages: Higher capacity, balanced cost-performance, suitable for medium-scale traders.
Limitations: Requires technical expertise, purity below 999.9 without extra steps.

3. Large Refinery (300–500 kg/day) – Electrolytic Refining

Definition: The Wohlwill Electrolytic Process uses electrolysis, where impure gold is the anode, pure gold is deposited on the cathode, and impurities settle as sludge.
Purity Achieved: 999.9 – meets LBMA Good Delivery standard.
Advantages: Highest purity, global credibility, long-term profitability.
Limitations: High capital expenditure, requires advanced infrastructure and skilled operation.
